The beautiful skies above Tulum are the same ones the ancient Mayans studied. We’ll meet up at sunset to observe the skies through a telescope as night falls and the stars emerge. What to expect: • With the help of a laser pointer for guidance, you’ll learn to identify constellations, planets, and various types of stars. • We’ll discuss how the ancient Maya observed and interpreted the sky to create their world view, align their architecture with celestial events, and connect with their spiritual beliefs. • We will be surrounded by one of the most breathtaking skies in the region, the same celestial canvas the Mayans used to develop their calendars. Capture the spirit of Tulum in a cyanotype print

Capture the essence of Tulum through cyanotype printing with me, a professional artist and printmaker, in this unique workshop. You’ll connect with your surroundings and create a one-of-a-kind memory of your journey. • Meet at Bacab Gallery, where I’ll explain the process, history and technique of cyanotype, a camera-free printing technique that uses light-sensitive salts to create striking blue images. • Arrange your collected objects—maybe a feather, flower, beach pebble, or leaf—on handmade cotton or pine paper from Veracruz. I’ll guide you through composition techniques to make the artwork. • Coat the paper with a special solution and expose it to sunlight (or UV light, if the sun isn’t cooperating) and watch the transformation as your design turns into a rich blue. After rinsing and drying it, reflect on your masterpiece. You’ll leave with a personal artwork, and recommendations for how to frame and preserve your new creation.

Selected as one of the New Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza is one of the most spectacular archaeological sites in the Americas and a "must see" for those interested in history and culture. Myself or my guide friends will lead you through the centuries of history and development, as well as help you understand the amazing architectcture, art and engineering integrated into the city. After Chichen Itza, we will visit a local community-run cenote for a perfect spot to get away from the crowds and cool down in the refreshing blue waters. We will then stop in Valladolid is a city where past and present come together to delight us with the sights of colored colonial architecture and tastes of an incredibly rich gastronomy. We lunch in the courtyard of a restored colonial mansion, an experience in itself, and have time to wander the main square of the center afterwards.

Discover Sian Ka'an Reserve and Mayan Canals

We will go in an adventure into the Sian Ka'an Bioshpere Reserve located 15 minutes south of Tulum. We will get immersed in the Mayan jungle and experience its liveliness and history. First we will access the Reserve through the Muyil archaeological site which is one of the oldest Mayan cities in the area. We will see the Mayan Temples and walk the jungle trails through the ruins and the lookout spot. Then we will hop on a boat and sail into the Chunyaxché lagoon through commercial routes used by the Mayans. We will then jump in a stream of clear and fresh water where we will float through the mangrove. Other things to note We are visiting a Protected Area. We'll try to contemplate nature in a respectful manner without harming the habitat. Please avoid sunscreen and repellent unless bio-compatible.

Taller de Cerámica /Pottery workshop

In this workshop we will work with white clay. First we will learn to build pieces with some basic techniques of free creation, then we will conclude painting with glaze a piece already cooked, At the end they will take a souvenir painted by a previous student and the one that you paint will be taken by the next student. Pottery is a slow process and finishing a piece takes more than a week, which is why the piece you make cannot be taken home that same day (if you like we can send it for an extra cost) En este taller trabajaremos con arcilla blanca, Primero aprenderán a construir piezas con algunas técnicas básicas de creación libre, seguidamente concluiremos pintando con esmaltes una pieza ya cocida, al finalizar les entregaremos un souvenir hecho por un alumno anterior y el que ustedes pinten se lo llevará el proximo alumno. La ceramica es un proceso lento donde terminar una pieza toma mas de una semana, es por esto que no puedes llevar tu pieza a casa contigo (si gustas te la podemos enviar por un costo extra)

Tulum without crowds

You can visit the ruins on your own but learning about it's history and the amazing civilization who built it almost a 1000 years ago is another thing! After being picked up at your accomodation we head to Tulum Ruins to get there as they open in order to be some of the first people in. (If you prefer a later start, it is possible upon request. Just know that we won´t be able to skip the crowds nor the worst heat). Walk around the buildings of Tulum's ancient city while you hear the interesting history of the place, take pics and enjoy the amazing ocean view. Next we drive to a near and beautiful cenote away from crowds where you can get a refreshing swim and even snorkel if you'd like. Then we take you to our fav beach club with chilled vibes where you can get some food, drinks and beach time (food and drinka here are on you). before we take you back to your stay with a big smile on your face!
